DR. DONALD P. KERN
Dr. Donald Kern was born in Columbus, Ohio, Dec. 16, 1935.
He moved to Davenport when he was 11 years old. In 1956 he
began Chiropractic studies at Palmer and shortly thereaf er
was married to his lovely w ife Nancy in 1957. A fter lie ob
tained a D.C. in 1958 and a Ph.C. in 1959, he erved on the
B. J. Palmer Clinic staff. Dr. Kern is now Direct r and Cor
relator of the Palmer Chiropractic Clinic and Techi :que De
partments. He is a third generation C iropra tor '.nd the
proud father of 2 sons and a daughter. To how our deepest
appreciation for his loyal friendship, we the l64 class, dedi
cate this booklet to the best friend a s udent could ever have.

DR. ANTON MEISTER
1890-1966
Dr. Anton Meis Nr c?»ne to New York City at the age of 10
from Vien ia, Austria, where he was born in 1890. A fter pub
lic scho >1„'■’-adui .ion, he entered the field of banking. Ill health
brought you ,r_, Anton under Chiropractic care. Upon having
h. •heax h restored, he became a student at the Palmer School
of Chiropractic and graduated in 1923, with both his D.C.
nd Ih.C . degrees. He practiced in New York City fo r 42
ye rs. He cared for over 130 patients in the average 14 hour
w jrk day.
A t Homecoming 1965, Dr. Dave bestowed the “ Doctor of
Chiropractic Humanities Degree” to Anton M eister; the first
living Chiropractor to receive this award. His last words ex
pressed deep concern for the patients he would never see
again.
