This is in m em ory o f our classm ate . . . Chris Tolenaars
. . . born M arch 21, 1918 in Los A ngeles, California.

Chris was a “ regular guy” .

H e entered the United States A ir F orce April 1940
straigh t from college w here he had ju st received his A .B .
degree in music. H e served two years overseas from 1942
to 1944- D uring this time he fou gh t with distinction in
the air offensives over Europe, Tunisia, Naples, Foggia
and Southern France. F or services rendered his decora­
tions and citations w ere many . . . bronze battle stars
fo r each o f his air offensives, air medal and oak leaf
cluster, presidential citations with oak leaf cluster, E A
and M E and American Theater ribbons.

In 1945 a fter 5% years service, M ajor Chris Tolenaars
retired.

On November. 24, 1947, white a student of the P.S.C.
. . . . Chris died. So ends the story of a M A N !
