Born M arch 7, 1845 And held her scepter high
That he might give the light of truth
D iscovered Chiropractic Sept. 18, 1895 To mortals such as I.
Died O ctober 13, 1913 He touched the sick and made them well
The lame he taught to walk.
He cured the deaf and healed the blind,
The dumb he helped to talk.
He took from nature what she gave
And turned it into art;
He made the world a finer place,
This genius with a heart!
And now, we who take up the torch
To light the desert sand,
Must not forget he led the way
To healing with the hand.
