1930 P.S.C. LYCEUM FACTS

The 1929 Lyceum was 1200 and something. The 1930 Lyceum
was 1956, approximately 700 more than last year; and the 1929
was heavier than 1928. W hat does that spell considering the
economic condition and the drought as well as the hot summer?

The silver loving cup, presented to the state sending the
largest number to the Lyceum (Iowa and Illinoisexcepted) was
won by W ISCONSIN.

The silver loving cup, presented to the class that had the
largest registration, went to the 1922 Class.

The silver loving cup going to the tallest chiropractor in at
tendance went to Dr. Geo. C. L. Hasbrook of Cleveland,
Tennessee. His height was 6 feet, ? inches.

The loving cup for the shortest chiropractor registered went
to Dr. Earl V. Henderson, Gilman, Illinois. Height, 3 feet, 11

The loving cup for the person who traveled the greatest dis
tance, coming directly and specifically for the Lyceum, was
awarded to Dr. Montano Luna of Mexico City, Mexico.

Dr. Chas. Campbell, W aynoka, Okla., won the loving cup for
the heaviest chiropractor registered. W eight, 276 lbs.

The value of TH IS Lyceum can best be judged when com
pared with those of the past 10 years.

1920 saw a growing and increasing registration. It con
tinued until the peak was reached in 1924. Then came the
slump. 192? to about 1928 saw the deepest depression. They
were so poorly attended that we had even contemplated dropping
them for a while until our people had come back to reason.

1928 Lyceum saw a little day-light creeping thru the cracks.
Several hundred returned, a few to praise, many to criticize.
But, THEY CAME, and that was the big thing. They listened.
Some went away boosters because they CAME boosters; some
went away knockers because they came that way; but many who
CAME knocking went away boosting; and none who came TO
BOOST went away the other way, so; there was a gain on the
constructive side.

1929 Lyceum saw many who came to boost and a few who came
to conduct a whispering campaign on the sidelines.' However,
it wasn’t really a healthy atmosphere for one who did not want
to get in line. Let even one begin to say something against
the NCM , the Dear, Old P.S.C., or B.J., and the hungry mobs
