T h e fundam ental principle of C hiropractic is the same today
as it was at the time of its discovery, thirty'five years ago, when
D. D. Palmer stated his belief that vertebral subluxations p ro
duce pressure on nerves emitting from the spinal column and
thereby caused disease. T he tru th of this principle has been
substantiated by actual results secured in restoring the sick to
health, not in a comparatively few instances, but with a collective
group of patients, during the thirty'five years Chiropractic has
been in existence, that totals in the millions. However, while the
principle has remained unchanged, research and scientific de'
velopm ent have evolved more accurate and effective methods
of application, and now Chiropractic is no longer a theory sub'
stantiated only by results. T he introduction of the X 'ray, for
the purpose of taking pictures of the spinal column, enabled
the practitioner to determine the position of vertebrae more
accurately, and thereby contributed to mechanical perfection
in the art of adjusting. The points of nerve pressure in the
spine are now accurately located by the use of a scientific in'
strum ent (T he Neurocalometer) and the degree of such pres
sure is likewise indicated.

All members of the Chiropractic profession, regardless of
school from which they were graduated, are cordially invited
and earnestly urged to enjoy T h e P.S.C. Lyceum. T his week is
devoted to Chiropractic and earnest endeavor is made to im part
complete inform ation and instruction concerning improved m eth'
ods of practice. The latest developments are carefully reviewed,
and all those who do attend should benefit trem endously from the
knowledge thus acquired. As already stated, the practice of
Chiropractic is no lo n g er' confined to theory; it has evolved to
the point where its principles and practice can be substantiated
by scientific instrum ents and m ethods.— (R eprinted: Courtesy
