somewhat doubted as being a feasible, workable plan, and a Dr.
Parrott of that town went out upon the streets of Decatur and
bumped into the first 75 people he could. There were bankers, mer
chants, business men, professional men, etc., and he put my prop
osition to them, to see whether it was feasible or workable, wheth
er it would appeal to them, telling them, of course, fairly and
squarely what the Neurocalometer was, what it would do, how in
30 days he could be adjusting for $300.00 with a Neurocalometer.
He reports to me this morning that out of the 75 people, 70 stated
they were ready to sign then and there and buy. Out of 75 people,
70 were ready to buy. Out of 75, 17 only had been patients at any
time. He said, “ I am convinced your plan would work, but I am
glad you never worked it.”
There seems to have been some misunderstanding on the pro
gram or the announcement of last night. I am going to repeat it,
because I like to be understood, so I will repeat it again tonight for
the benefit of any of those who have not the information clearly.
Beginning this morning, at 8 o’clock, we have made it possible
for every competent and qualified chiropractor in the world to buy
and to own a Neurocalometer on terms and time payments. We
have made that very easy for you. The terms are: ONE HUN
DRED DOLLARS CASH, A HUNDRED DOLLARS DOWN, and
FIFTY DOLLARS PER MONTH FOR THIRTEEN MONTHS,—
equaling $750.00. Since last night, there has been a slight change
in this program,— always working as usual to your benefit. Last
night I stated to you that upon payment of FIVE HUNDRED
DOLLARS you would be entitled to your technique. A great many
of our western friends in particular, and Florida friends, and the
southern states, came to us today with a suggestion that they
were here now and would like to get the technique now, so that
they would not have to come back or wait until a technician could
come out there, so in view of the friends whom we want to serve,
we are changing the rule of $500.00 for technique to this rule now:
If you pay your $100.00 now, you will be entitled to your tech
nique course of instruction, beginning on next Monday morning.
We cannot put you in this week because we are plumb up. But
beginning next Monday we will take care of all those who pay
their $100.00, that meet all of the other requirements, that want
to stay over to next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. If it goes
over the 300, we will put you on the latter part of the week. We
will list you serially as your orders are booked. Those who went
in today have preference over those who will enroll tomorrow.
Now, I hope that makes it clear. Your serial number for deliv
ery of your Neurocalometer is based upon the serial number given
you at the time you place your contract. If you got in early this
morning, then you will get preferential delivery, all other things
being equal. This time payment plan of $100.00 down and $50.00
a month expires on midnight of September 14, 1924, so I hope any
of you who are in doubt yet will go up tomorrow morning and close
your contracts.
