Our register shows that during the month between October 15 and
December 1, we have had patients from Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio,
Pennsylvania, New York, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Mis
souri. Kansas, Colorado.. Indian Territory, New Mexico, Idaho, Wash
ington, the Philippine Islands and Australia.
Chiropractic is only nine years of age. There are now or have
been Chiropractors practicing in twenty-five different states and
Canada. Not bad for the boy Chiro., who is not yet in his teens.
Harry H. Reynard, D. C., of Oakland, Cal., writes us: “All the
Chiro’s seem to be doing fine. I hear that Dr. Willis has an income
of $700 per month.”
Among our present students we are pleased to make mention Mrs.
James Brake, of Melbourne, Australia.
The following two books have been donated to our library; the
doners have our thanks:
“ Christology” is a thorough work on Metaphysical healing in a
simplified form, by Oliver C. Sabin. It contains many valuable ideas.
It was presented by Mrs. Abbie Walker Gould, Moline, 111., who is an
excellent writer on this subject.
“ Practical Instruction in Hypnotism” is what its name implies,
a practical work. It is thorough in its details and complete in its
lessons. It is published by the international famed fun makers, Dr.
and Mrs. Herbert L. Flint. The book sells for $5. It can be had by
addressing, Dr. Herbert L. Flint, 361 Superior St., Chicago, 111.
Dr. D. D. Palmer, the discoverer and developer of the principles
now named Chiropractic, located in Burlington, Iowa, Jan. 1, 1887;
located in Davenport, Jan. 15, 1888. He rented three rooms in the
Ryan Block. Business increased until he had the entire 4th floor of
42 rooms.
This makes him a practitioner in this building for 17 years.
Dr. F. A. Homes says: “ I think that your method is ail you
claim for it.”
