The pounding tables, which were used to make muscle, the Osteopath

table and stretching machines, the pseudo bungling throat punching

and “ mounting of the spine” in a box, secured by rods, are not Chiro
practic.

“ Chiropractors who have lately risen . . . Claiming to be the
fountain head or founders.” As will be seen by items in this journal,
Dr. D. D. Palmer began the practice o f Chiropractic in Sept., 1895. Dr.
Langworthy’s first acquaintance of this science was on Jan. 10, 1902,
when he brought his wife to me for adjustment. Why should he not
remember “ Father Chiro” pleasantly in his letter of July 1st, 1903, by
saying: “ Dr. A. T. Still is at the head of the largest infirmary in the
world, and Dr. D. D. Palmer should be at the largest school of Chiro
practic in the world. All hail the day when I can point to my diploma
and say, here is a picture o f Dr. D. D. Palmer, the founder of Chiro
practic, who is now at the head o f the largest infirmary and school of
Chiropractic.

“ Chiropractic Impregnable.”

Dr. E. L. E., a physician standing high in his profession, writing
to Dr. D. D. Palmer about Chiropractic, says:

“ Your very esteemed letter of the 17th inst. received and read
with interest. 1 was glad to get it. It has enabled me to get a better
view of the man behind the Chiropractic gun. I find that he is a
better man than I at first thought. The. gun, too, looks to be of a
larger caliber when you get closer to it.

“ I believe that in many cases a luxated vertebra is the cause of
disease, but I think you put the per cent too high.

“There is one thing that I admire, and that is, you have built up a
fortification in Chiropractic that is well nigh impregnable. Those oil
the outside may THINK you are mistaken, but it would be a pretty
hard job to PROVE you are. T. would like to view Chiropractic from
the inside. I always speak a good word for Chiropractic.

“ Wishing you tlie very best of success, health and happiness, I am,
“ Very Truly Yours,
“ DR. E. L. E.”
